Vivacity Festival 2022

Vivacity, creativity, life force. Where does creative energy come from, and what does it mean to us?

VIVACITY - a brand new multi-arts festival at Warwick Arts Centre.

Created by China Plate's Young Producers, the three-day festival featured art, dance, poetry, film, theatre, spoken word and music suitable for all ages!

Mainstay Creatives were commissioned as associate artists, running projects on April 2nd 2022.

In our interactive workshop, we worked together to explore our ideas of who we think creative people are and what it is they do.

We developed our ideas using physical theatre and other techniques, and by the end of the session we collaboratively devised a performance piece to be shared with the festival.

StART Enterprise awards 2021

In October 2021, we delivered financial pitches and our 2021-2023 business plans to a panel of arts and business experts at the StART Enterprise Awards. Against over 20 shortlisted finalists from across the country (and even more applicants in earlier rounds), we were honoured to recieve the award for the 'Most Influential Leaders'.

As the winners of this prestigious award, we will be recieving 1-1 mentoring with industry leaders and support in delivering the next phase of our business plan. Thank you to StART for giving us the opportuntiy to show stakeholders and investors our dreams for Mainstay, and for believing in us as an emerging , female-led company to make those dreams a reality.

free lockdown workshops

Lockdown and the tier systems were really hard for all arts facilitators in England, as our plans and projects kept being cancelled and postponed - but we knew as hard as it was for us, it was so much more difficult for young people who were struggling with online school and who had lost access to the arts in this time.

So, throughout lockdown we delivered free Mainstay Creatives workshops for young people aged 11-15 from across different areas of the country.

It is so essential that in recovering from the pandemic, we remember the specific challenges that young people have overcome.
